Opening Gala Tix On Sale, 2 Collaboration Beers Coming
Tickets for the SF Beer Week Opening Gala are
now on sale – get ’em here. SOLD OUT
In addition to hosting over 100 Northern CA breweries, serving up a ton of amazing California-brewed beer, and generally throwing one of the country’s best craft beer parties, the 2016 Opening Gala will be holding a Collaboration Beer Bowl and tapping not one but TWO collaborations beers from members of the San Francisco Brewers Guild.
Dividing up Guild members into two teams — Team Noma (breweries north of Market St.) and Team Soma (breweries south of Market St.) — the Guild will be turning the Gala into a battle of the brews. (See team member rosters below.)
And at November’s Meet the Brewers night, hosted by Woods Beer Co., team captains Dave McLean from Magnolia Brewing Co. (Team Soma) and Mike Schnebeck from Fort Point Beer Co. (Team Noma) faced off for a ‘Draft Day’ duel, selecting specialty ingredients to brew with from an amazing assortment of local and artisan foods donated by Whole Foods Market.
See what each team took home, watch Draft Day selections here.
Chicory? Yuzu? It’s going to be some competition!
Be the first to try these special brews, and vote for your favorite, when they’re tapped at the Jan. 22 SF Beer Week Opening Gala — as long as you get your tickets before they’re gone! (Tickets will sell out quickly!)
After that, look for the collaboration beers on tap at select events throughout SF Beer Week.
