Beer + Food = Love

Nearly 30% of the over 700 events happening during SF Beer Week are showcasing the marriage of beer and food.

Beer’s re-emergence as a food-friendly beverage and go-to meal companion is evidenced by the 25% jump in the number of events where food is playing a noticeable role. Chefs, cheese mongers, salumists, creators of pastries, ice creams and desserts — a rainbow of artisan food producers, really — are collaborating with craft brewers across the Bay Area to deliver delightful beer-and-food pairings.

SF Restaurant Week, which kicks off Jan. 20, runs alongside SF Beer Week this year. Each of the following restaurants are not only hosting amazing beer-and-food events as part of SF Beer Week, but offering prix fixe menus throughout SF Restaurant Week:

Beach Chalet Restaurant & Brewery
Bon Marché Brasserie & Bar
Citizen Fox
Dirty Water
Paragon Restaurant
Red Dog
Schroeder’s Restaurant
ThirstyBear Organic Brewery

Visit SF Restaurant Week for their full list of participating restaurants.

Beer and food options throughout SF Beer Week are plentiful, fit a variety of budgets, and are testament to the near-ubiquitous role beer now plays at the dining table.
