FIVE KICK OFFS ACROSS THE BAY
The Bay Area Brewers Guild is pleased to bring back Official SF Beer Week Kick Off parties in 2023 -- one in every corner of the Bay Area. Subbing in for past Opening Galas for one more year, these more intimate celebrations, produced and hosted by Bay Area Brewers Guild members, one in the each guild chapter, are where we'll be collectively raising our glasses in celebration of the Bay's unique beer scenes and local breweries.
Barebottle Brewing Co. @ Salesforce Park
Nestled in an expansive urban oasis, the setting for Barebottle's newest location is both dramatic and quintessential. The beautifully landscaped 5.4-acre rooftop garden atop the new Salesforce Transit Building is home to 600 trees, 16,000 plants and, on February 11, a host of local breweries, featuring the finest brews from San Francisco and craft brewers farther flung.
With 21A co-founder Shaun O'Sullivan not only launching one of the Bay Area's most successful breweries, but also co-founding SF Beer Week itself back in 2009, it's kismet that 21st Amendment would return again to host the East Bay Kick Off. With its large indoor and outdoor space at the San Leandro brewery, this one most resembles beer week galas of old, and for 2023 the iconic SFBW display will be on site — the perfect selfie backdrop to mark the occasion.
Pond Farm Brewing Co.
Since it's launch, Pond Farm — one of the first Great American Beer Fest medal-winners for the "Juicy or Hazy IPA" category among others —has been a beacon to the North Bay craft beer scene and a craft beer fan's favorite stop on the way up Highway 1 to Santa Rosa. You'll love everything about this event and about Pond Farm, the perfect point of entry to North Bay's epic beer scene, and a fantastic place to kick off beer week this or any year.
Silicon Valley's craft beer scene has blossomed in delicious ways alongside its already legendary desire to mix, mingle, sample and play, making Guildhouse a perfect fit to host the region's Kick Off. This mini-fest will be bringing together and serving up Silicon Valley's best, including special collaboration releases, all in a stimulating setting in the capital of tech. Get your beer week and beer geek groove on, as the Guildhouse team curates what's sure to be a tasty and playful evening to make your opening weekend extra fun.
Other Brother Beer Co.
Other Brother and its taproom have a lot going on, not only breaking quality liquid bread in Seaside, but literally, sharing space with world-class Ad Astra Bread Co. while offering its own sister product, some of California's freshest rich and robust olive oil. But on top of that, the team at Other Brother has earned its reputation of knowing how to throw a good time, hosting amped up seasonal markets, vinyl nights, record releases, and recently a co-branded beer release with Atlas Skateboarding. So, yeah, it'll be worth the trip :)
