FIVE KICK OFFS ACROSS THE BAY
The Bay Area Brewers Guild is pleased to promote five Official SF Beer Week Kick Off parties in 2022 -- one in every corner of the Bay Area. Subbing in for past Opening Galas, these more intimate celebrations, produced and hosted by Bay Area Brewers Guild members with one in the each of the guild's five chapters, are where we'll collectively raise our glasses to the return of SF Beer Week and kick off 10 days of celebrating the Bay's unique beer scenes and local brewers.
With 21A co-founder Shaun O'Sullivan not only launching one of the Bay Area's most successful breweries, but also co-founding SF Beer Week itself back in 2009, it was a given 21st Amendment would host one of this year's five Kick Offs. Picking up a template from its super fun Augustfest and with its large indoor space at the San Leandro brewery, no surprise this one most resembles beer week galas of old.
Harmonic Brewing's Thrive City
Located on the Chase Center plaza in the heart of Mission Bay, Harmonic Thrive City will not only be delivering the amazing Bay views and amazing San Francisco-crafted brews that have always been a hallmark of SF Beer Week, but will be the only place where you can grab a photo with the ubiquitous S-F-B-W letters that have heralded SF Beer Week's start for nearly a decade now. With multiple sessions throughout the day for the Kick Off, and the SFBW display sticking around throughout the week, making Thrive City a stop on your beer week schedule is a must for beer week faithful.
Pond Farm Brewing Co.
Since it's launch, Pond Farm has been a beacon to the North Bay craft beer scene and a craft beer fan's favorite stop along the way up Highway 1 from San Francisco to Santa Rosa. Expanding their offerings by adding a full kitchen just in time for SF Beer Week, there's no doubt Pond Farm will be your point of entry to North Bay's epic beer scene, and a perfect place to kick things off this year. Bonus: Look for our friends from Visit Santa Rosa, who will be on hand to get you fully equipped with a FeBREWary beer passport.
Other Brother Beer Co.
Other Brother and its taproom have a lot going on, not only breaking liquid bread in Seaside, but literally, sharing space with world-class Ad Astra Bread Co. while offering its own sister product, some of California's freshest, rich and robust olive oil, but the team at Other Brother has earned its reputation of knowing how to throw a good time, hosting amped up seasonal markets, vinyl nights, record releases, and recently a co-branded beer release with Atlas Skateboarding. So, yeah, it'll be worth the trip :)
Off the Rails
Silicon Valley's craft beer scene has blossomed in delicious ways these last few years -- and we do mean delicious, with brewpubs now dotting the landscape. Conveniently located in downtown Sunnyvale, near transit and with plenty of parking, as well as a menu begging for beer to pair -- barbacoa short rib taco, jambalaya, hot chicken or Yucatan-style pull pork sandos, chicken schnitzel -- Off the Rails is a tasty stop and one of only a few places in that region where you're sure to find all five of the Official SF Beer Week Collaboration releases on tap.
