Barrel aged vanilla bean wreck alley

Russian Imperial Stout

12.4% ABV | 50 IBUs

Russian Imperial Stout brewed with additions of cocoa nibs and roasted Ethiopian coffee beans. The brewers also split whole vanilla beans from Papua New Guinea, and added them to the beer for the purpose of resting them in American Oak barrels to age for an entire year! The result is a dark chocolate and espresso-like roast with vanilla undertones.

James Bean starts as Allagash Tripel, a strong golden ale. It is then aged in American oak bourbon barrels for two months. Cold brewed coffee is added to the tripel and allowed to meld in a neutral vessal. The result is this coffee-infused bourbon barrel aged tripel, James Bean.

Utilizing whole grade A vanilla beans from Madagascar that deliver all of the quintessential things that fans love about this variant: aromatic vanilla, marshmallow, toffee, oak, and floral notes highlighting the creamy mouthfeel and enhancing the chocolate flavors that are ingrained in Bourbon County.

Big Bad Baptist and Quad Big Bad Baptist

Barrel Aged American Imperial Stout

11.7% ABV | 65 IBUs

Big Bad Baptista starts with Epic’s Big Bad Baptist as the base, which is a 12% ABV imperial stout aged in first- second- and third-use whiskey barrels with a Colombian dark roast coffee from Salt Lake City’s Copper Coffee Roasters. Big Bad Baptista pays homage to Cafe de Olla, a traditional Mexican coffee beverage made with ground coffee, cinnamon and piloncillo. The Baptista isin turn brewed with vanilla, cinnamon, and Mexican Coffee roasted by Blue Copper and Solstice Chocolate Cacao nibs. The Cinnamon adds another layer of complexity and accentuates the earthy character of Mexican Coffee. As for the Quad Big Bad Baptist; In addition to being aged in both whiskey and rum barrels with cacao nibs, this version of the Big Bad Baptist Imperial stout is blended with Blue Copper coffee, coconut, and almonds aged together in first-use whiskey barrels.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.

11% ABV

At FiftyFifty, they have taken their award winning Totality Imperial Stout and aged it in oak Bourbon/Whiskey barrels for a minimum of 180 days. Brewed in small 300 gallon batches, these brewers lovingly craft this masterpiece once a year. At first there is a large presence of dark chocolate, espresso, and warmth from the alcohol of the beer. It finishes with hints of oak, vanilla, coconut, and more chocolate. The Mocha BA Eclipse was originally a special collaboration with Mostra Coffee and Craft Beer Kings in Southern California, where it was served on draft at the pub. This stout is brewed with honey aged in bourbon barrels with coffee and cacao.

It has a full body and lush texture with barrel expression all over; toasted oak, coconut, leather and rich cigar tobacco.
