2018 SF Beer Week Collaborations
When it comes to collaborations, what a celebration of riches we have for 2018!
During SF Beer Week alone, 32 collaboration beers are being released — all in addition to dozens and dozens of rare and special releases. You can get a head start knocking some of these off your hit list by attending the SF Beer Week Opening Gala on Friday, Feb. 9. See that killer beer list HERE (and get tickets here). But for now, shall we take stock of these collections of collaborations?
Let’s start with the 10 official SF Beer Week releases.
…or jump to see the other collabs begin rolled out for SF Beer Week — that we know about!
To celebrate the 10th SF Beer Week, the SF Brewers Guild invited independent breweries across the greater Bay Area to create SF Beer Week collaborations. Five of these collaborations, representing the association’s future as a regional guild, spotlight each corner of the region, showcasing their individual personalities SF, East Bay, North Bay, South Bay and Monterey Bay — Bayview, Dogpatch, Haight, Mission and SoMa.
Five more are a nod to San Francisco neighborhoods, recalling the SF Brewers Guild’s roots as a city-based association.
Not to be overlooked are the great ingredients being used for these brews, including locally produced craft malt from Admiral Maltings in Alameda, plus hops and yeast from Brewers Supply Group and White Labs.
Look for these Official SF Beer Week Collaboration Beers on tap at the SF Beer Week Opening Gala — one of the very few places where you can try them all — and at events throughout SF Beer Week.
