Take a journey of “IPA Through the Years” and taste the evolution of the style from the beginnings of the craft beer movement of the 1980s through Today.

This flight of five beers includes period-specific beers created by Head Brewer Kevin Inglin to represent the way IPA was brewed in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and Today, to include:

Back in the Daze IPA - our 1980s variant features Cascade and Centennial hops, firm bitterness (for its time), pale ale and caramel specialty malts provide the malt backbone on which the citrus-forward hops shine.

Ms. The Ol' Daze DIPA - a throwback to the firmly bitter daze of the mid-1990s, featuring Amarillo hops, a higher ABV, and a crisp, dry finish.

Daze Gone By IPA - our 2000s era IPA is a "SMaSH" beer that features a single malt - two row - and a single hop - Simcoe - which became the darling of the brewing world upon its discovery and commercial cultivation in the early years following the turn of the century. Crisp, clear, firm bitterness, and a clean, dry finish.

Dawn of New Daze Hazy IPA - the 2010s saw the rise of Hazy IPAs start to take hold that continues to this day. This variant features tropical fruity Citra and El Dorado hop aroma and flavor, low bitterness, a smooth finish, and added stone fruit esters from GigaYeast Vermont IPA yeast.

These are the Daze Brut IPA - today's darling, the Brut IPA style, was inspired by champagne and created right here in San Francisco! This variant features a bone dry finish, sparkling bright clarity, high carbonation, and delicious fruity aromas and flavors from El Dorado and Mosaic hops.

Compare and contrast all five variants side-by-side and experience firsthand how the IPA style has evolved over the past 40 years.

$12 for flight of five special throughout SFBW.
