Go to Events, Drink Beer & Earn A Badge Using Untappd

Right about now you’re probably trying to figure out how you can hit as many SF Beer Week events as possible. You’re not alone. Sour beer nights, IPA fests and countless beer pairing dinners are all tempting possibilities. Tough decisions will need to be made and we sympathize, but remember, this is a good problem.

An even bigger dilemma is keeping track of what you’ve consumed night after night. Thankfully, the masterminds behind Untappd can lend a hand and we’ve decided to partner with them to reward your enthusiasm for what SF Beer Week has to offer.

Untappd is an application for your iPhone or Android device that let’s you track the craft beer you’ve drank and share it with friends. As you try more beer and visit more locations you can earn a variety of special badges. We’ve decided to offer two different Untappd badges during SF Beer Week that can only be earned from February 10th to 19th.

You can claim the SF Beer Week badge if you attend at least three official events. All you have to do is add your location while checking into a beer you’re drinking at an SF Beer Week event. It’s that simple.

The second badge is sponsored by the SF Brewers Guild to celebrate their newly created SF Strong Ale. Members of the Guild collaborate every year on a different recipe for the week and this batch incorporated Anchor Brewing’s ale yeast. The tasty beer will be available at Guild breweries and at several Bay Area bars. All you have to do is find it, drink it, and check into it on Untappd.
